NECROMUNDA - Challenge completed!

-- A dangerous place --

I've done it! Exactly in time. To be precise, there are even a few hours left until deadline. The entries I've seen so far are very good and I'm curious what's next. So, let them come! If you're interested (or have no clue what I'm talking about), check out this thread: YakTribe Competition III!

And now... ladies and gentlemen. I'm proud to present you:

"The Hatch"!
Death from behind? - If you've read my first post, then you should be familiar with this picture.
The sewer entrance.
... suffering from decay.
The entire model.

Things I used: Styrodur or Styrofoam, Spackling Paste, bits from GW's Space Marine Tanks and some other parts, a Servo-Skull, a mean rat, sand, some slate stone and a plastic cap from a coffee to go.

Techniques: Lots of shading and drybrushing.

Thanks for looking and wish me luck!

NECROMUNDA - Challenge accepted! (3)

-- The Hatch --

Some progress here, but hopefully this is my last post before the entrance is finished. Time is running out! The model is plastered, primed and now I am working on the details, but there is still a lot to do. I made a few pictures of the work in progress, but most of them suck. If you're still interested, here are some more WIPs.

This is what I made today:

Sewer entrance, rat and servo-skull. Pretty rusty.

The Hatch.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

NECROMUNDA - Challenge accepted! (2)

-- Rohbau. The shell. --

Quick update:

To hide the bunker it was built deep into the underground, right underneath the sewer system. A heavy bombardment has exposed the hatch. But perhaps it was just time and natural decay, who knows... On the street level there is still the former acces point to be seen.

NECROMUNDA - Challenge accepted! (1)

-- Make an Entrance! --

The mission: YakTribe Competition III

My secret plan is to build a hidden bunker entrance. The finished model should be modular, because I like the idea of being able to use the different parts individually. In this manner the entrance is also easier to paint. Anyway, here are my first results:

First Step. Gathering Parts.

The "antagonist" - a mean rat.

Lurking on a sewer pipe.

The "protagonist" - Servo-Skull exploring the entrance.
Death from behind or...

... escape at the very last second?

The next step will be a kind of cave or abandoned building where the entrance is located. Let me know what you think!
